Recently got my self a Kingston 1gig Dual Voltage Reduced Sized-MMC, whoa that was a mouthful! It’s for my N70. This is great I now have enough space to load up a couple of my favorite tracks, also some videos and some great apps!
On that note, I will be posting a list of my favorite ( and in my opinion must have) applications for your Symbian smart phone!
Oggplay is an audio player for symbian phones. It plays Ogg Vorbis files (more info).
Ogg Vorbis; the open audio format. But it doesn’t stop there it adds support for .ogg ring tones, which includes the nice “Random ring tone” file which when selected as ring tone will play a random tune as ring tone. It also supports all the phones native file types.
On my N70. oggplay whips the built in Nokia music players ass 10 - 0! The only advantage over ogg play Nokia’s music player has at the moment in my opinion, is the fact that the Nokia player can display song info on the background when in active stanby mode, a mode which I don’t really use anyway!
So I can’t recommend this app any more! With full skin support available in .sis format for easy install, good sound quality and cool interface, it is definitely a must have application.
