Duke Nukem Forever, is probably the most overly hyped and long awaited game in history. 3D Realms, the developer has closed its doors, so it seams like the rumours and teasers are now over, or are they? Take 2 is looking to buy the rights and hopefully finish it!

We have all played games and then as you are passing along a corridor or entering a lift *BAM* you are stuck, or you are floating. Games are just as bug prone as any other software, but due to their visual nature the bugs are often very amusing and equally frustrating.

This has been my argument from the very beginning, a while back they could argue Mac uses Power PC architecture and can be superior, albeit in some alternate universe. Now they run Intel CPU’s and is actually nothing more than a PC running MAC OS. That is it, but they still had those Mac VS PC ads, idiots… Now they are wetting their panties because they got a good dose of their own medicine! Good on the bad folks from MS

I am seriously getting frustrated, with this IR Transmitter, this is a vital part of my build and it is getting me under! I have gotten the PVR150’s IR Blaster to work, well as mentioned it blinks and it does appear to transmit when commanded to, but my DSTV decoder is not working!! I tried loads of scripts and still nothing, I used mark’s send_power_new, and it ran for about 10mins, blinking away as it should but still nothing, no response from the decoder…

Web 2.0 as you may or may not, know is the latest buzz word on the Interweb, well actually it is getting quite old now, but nevertheless it still is all the rage, think facebook, think twitter think well this very blog! So web2.0 is, from the wikipedia: “enhance creativity, information sharing, and, most notably, collaboration among users”. I have started to read some stuff by Tim O’Reilly and it is just, excellent because Tim has a unique and very expert view on everything tech and all the latest trends… Anyway back to the point, I recently read an article about web2.0 written by Tim in 2005 and it was very good and thought provoking, it made me think, what if I took the game industry and made the same web1.0 VS web2.0 comparison? Windows XP, will not be available for much longer, this was made public by Microsoft, people then entered a state of panic, because they where under the impression that the product’s support will also end.
From the Microsoft site:
- Direct OEM and Retail License Availability will end June 30
- System Builder License Availability will end 2008 January 31, 2009
But these are only the dates when the licenses will become unavailable support will continue until April 2014
So you can relax, you will be fine, well as fine as you are now….
