I am busy with a coding assignment as part of my Honours degree in computer science. It is nice and challenging, the correctness, in other words, soundness and completeness, of our implementations, although counting the majority of the marks, is not the only thing we will be assessed on, how efficient our implementations are, in terms of speed of execution and size of output, also counts towards our marks. I’m currently busy coding a genetic algorithm in C#, which I want to use, to train an Artificial Neural Network, after I have coded my GA I will be posting an informational and howto-guide on Genetic Algorithms with some of my code.
Think you are cool, just because you could finish Doom3 in 2 days? Well there are people out there who can finish it in under 2 hours and to top it all they do it in Nightmare mode!
The art of trying to finish games in as little as possible time is know as speed running, there are lots of games that people have done speedruns in from mario to pokemon to newer games like Doom3 and Quake4.

The All Blacks just had too much firepower for the springboks. With the tri-nations in the bag
New-Zealand, went to South Africa to win. South Africa who failed to impress the entire tri-nations had to once again settle for second best! A game of rugby with no control what so ever by the match official, which saw several red card able offenses turn into nothing was what set the tone for a very “dirty†match. New-Zealand simply capitalized on the springboks bad defense and lack of any initiative and score time after time, by only running the open channels, which were caused by the springboks “Rush Defense†(or more accurately “Lack of defenseâ€) . Only when replacement fly half, Andre Pretorius, came on was there a positive twist to the way the Boks played, but it was too little too late!
The Boks take on the All Blacks again next week. Lets hope for a positive constructive game of rugby with some real backline play, the type of game we know both teams can deliver.

Well after a long wait, I finally replaced my old mobile phone(Nokia 6600), with a Nokia N70. So far this is a very nice piece of hardware. With all the bells and whistles of a S60 smart phone. A 2 mega pixel camera, radio, 3G, great mp3 support, expandable memory!
I will write a full review of the phone soon and publish it on the techno-playground site.

I have been sooo busy recently, that I have not made a post in quite some time! This will hopefully change in the not so distant future!
So to make up for “lost” time I will try and post some stuff soon!
After, controversial extra time, which saw Zidane get a red card, for knocking a player of his feet with his head, france were playing with 10 men and without their star penalty taker, striker and captain! Italy won in penalty shoot out by 5-3! So well done to del piero and all the other Italy players!
Extra time, with the score at 1, all. Who will it be? France or Italy! Will have to wait and see, all will be known in about 30 minutes time!
